Heath Hill went out of this seasons County cup after a narrow defeat by NSL outfit Bingham Town.
The game started well for Heath Hill when they took the lead early on. Debaes heading home from a Tonks free kick. Shortly after Heath Hill were forced to reshuffle the back four when Davey was forced to leave the pitch with an ankle injury.
As the half progressed Bingham began to have more of the play and they were only denied by the woodwork and some poor defending.
As in recent weeks Heath Hill held firm till half time and went in one up at the break. Then as in recent weeks within minutes of the restart the scores were level. Bingham were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box and in the resulting action, the ball looped into the net 1-1.
Heath Hill had a great chance to regain the lead but they were denied by an outstanding save from the Bingham keeper after an excellent strike from Ugiagbe. Stevenson followed in for the rebound but a great last ditch tackle from the defender denied him the chance to score.
Midway through the half Bingham took the lead after a slip at the back and as in recent weeks within minutes it was 3-1. Hodson was introduced and Heath Hill pressed forward again. Tassa was rewarded when he made it 3-2 after fine work from Durham.
Heath Hill threw everything into the final 5 minutes but Bingham held firm.
A good performance by everyone today, a little unlucky to lose after a good first half performance but as we know from several games this season 1-0 is a slender lead.
