Nottingham Breakdown 2-2  Heath Hill

Back

As the game began Heath Hill played with the wind behind them and tried to play football straight away. Nottingham breakdown were up for this game and pinned Heath hill back. The first threat for Heath hill 4 mins into the match resulted in a goal when Parry tried to play in Gothard but an interception from the defender saw it fall to J.Macdonald a deflected shot saw Heath hill 1-0 up.

The next goal game from a good run down the wing 13 mins in from Tonks. An amazing cross which the Notts Breakdown defender could only turn into his own net.

Notts breakdown shook themselves down and fought back. Some brilliant defending and team work saw Heath hill clear off the line and make last ditch tackles time and time again and managed to prevent any goals.

Half time 2-0

2nd half carried on where Notts Breakdown left off applying pressure to the Heath hill goal, now with the wind on their side. Heath Hill battled really well but struggled to get it out of their own half. One of the Notts Breakdown players felt he should have been given a free kick, but when it was not given, he swore at the ref and got himself sent off. Heath Hill now with an extra player still found it hard cause any major threat to the opposition. With 8 mins to go Notts breakdown pulled one back and Heath Hill started to wobble. The home team were desperate for the equaliser and even bought the keeper up for corners. They finally got the equaliser with 4 mins on the clock from, a corner found a player unmarked and headed into the Heath Hill net.

Great defensive work and staying alert were the key things that earned Heath Hill a point in a match that could have gone either way.
