Heath Hill’s poor start to the season continued at the weekend away at Premium.
Kicking against the wind Heath Hill held firm at the back until the stroke of Half time, MacDonald in goal punched the ball clear from a corner and the ball fell invitingly to a Premium striker who made no mistake with a fine shot.
It was disappointing from Heath Hills point of view because they had created several first half opportunities themselves and were unfortunate not to score on the counter attack.
At the break the mood changed, disappointment got the better of some players and they found it difficult to raise their game.
Midway through the half Heath Hill were given a lifeline when Bannister played a one - two on the half way line with Tassa and he ran on to finish well, levelling the scores at 1-1.
However as quickly as they had got back into the game they threw it away. Davey was caught in possession on the halfway line and the Premium striker ran free to slot the ball through the advancing Heath Hill keepers legs.
Again as in recent games, misfortune went against Heath Hill, Bannister had a goal disallowed for offside, and Gothard pulled his shot wide as he ran free with just the keeper to beat.
Heath Hill  could have got at least a point had they concentrated on the job in hand instead of allowing refereeing decisions get the better of them. It is difficult when you don’t get the rub of the green but you either sulk, give up and get beat or you work your arse off and try harder and play for 90 Minutes.
Too many 50-50 balls were lost by Heath Hill, sometimes you need to make your own luck!
