OFFICIAL WEBSITE
The 11 men of Heath Hill put up a brave battling performance against a very good Wolds side.
Battling also against the wind in the first half the Heath Hill goal was under constant siege. But fine defensive blocks hard work and the will to win denied the Wolds the lead they deserved for a long time. When the goal eventually came Heath Hill can count themselves rather unlucky. A corner came in, it was cleared off the line brilliantly by Ugiagbe,(for the second time in the half) blocked again by the defence and finally driven home by the Wolds striker.
Heath Hill continued to battle and were looking like turning around with only a one goal defect. However right on the stroke of half time a long ball down the middle caused confusion in the defence and as MacDonald raced off the line the striker headed over him and tapped into an empty net.
As the sides swapped around for half time the feeling was that Heath Hill would do better kicking with the wind. However as the teams changed ends the wind also changed and within minutes of the restart the Wolds added their third, when a long throw into the box deceived everyone except the Wolds centre forward, who headed into an empty net.
Heath Hill continued to work hard and did create a few half chances but the Wolds continued to dominate and deservedly added a fourth before the end after tired legs finally got the better of the Heath Hill defence.
All in all Heath Hill were well beaten by a good side but the 11 who turned up deserve special praise for their efforts, Some had played the day before and for others it was their fifth game in 9 days.
